James is part of the Sustainability team, with responsibility for reporting on and improving the department’s energy efficiency and reducing its emissions, as well as wider sustainability including water consumption and waste. Before joining the team in 2010, he worked on bio-energy and renewable materials policy in the department’s Office for Renewable Energy Deployment.
